The Way of Love

This weekend was truly beautiful. I was asked to speak at my second cousin’s wedding. I love her and her new husband so dearly. What a gift to be a part of such an anointed moment. Below is what the Holy Spirit placed in my heart to share….

Every mistake I've made in my life was the result of a lack of love, either love for God or love for another. And every wound that's been healed as a result of those mistakes has been because I chose love, either love for God or love for another.

The way of love is the way of Christ for God is love. He IS the way.

Love Conquers All.

It conquers hate, bitterness, anger, betrayal, jealousy, sorrow, and even injustice.

As in the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

The Apostle Paul expands on what love is in 1 Corinthians 13 —

Love is patient and Kind.
Love is not jealous or proud or rude.
It does not demand its own way.
It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of wrong.
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices when the truth wins out.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Today we gather in love for both of you and speak a blessing of God's love over you, asking our Heavenly Father to instill within your hearts a never-giving up love for one another, a love to endure through every circumstance, a love that never loses faith, a love that conquers, and a love that lasts forever.
